HOSPERSA SHOCKED BY CONCOURT JUDGEMENT ON PUBLIC SERVANTS WAGE DISPUTE

Hospersa, a union with more than 50 000 members in the public service, is utterly disappointed by the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) judgement delivered earlier this morning. The ConCourt ruled that the 2018 multi term agreement reached at the Public Service and Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC Resolution 1 of 2018) is invalid and not binding. Hospersa has labelled the judgement as another move where workers are being made scapegoats for Government’s poor administration and planning.

HOSPERSA DECLARES SALARY INCREASE DISPUTE AT NETCARE

Hospersa, which is the majority Union at NETCARE, has declared a dispute over salary increases with the Hospital giant.  Parties failed to reach an agreement and are now heading to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) to try and end the impasse.  Hospersa has accused Netcare of failing to pay its employees fair wages while splurging millions of Rands to top executives on bonuses.  The Union has vowed to continue fighting for better remuneration and improved working conditions for the benefit of its

Hospersa, a Union of more than 70 000 healthcare workers [predominately Nurses] in the public and private health sector, has sent its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the nurse that was gunned down by her partner at Tembisa Hospital yesterday. HOSPERSA CONDEMNS ESCALATING EMS ATTACKS

Hospersa, a Union of more than 60 000 health workers in South Africa’s public and private health sector, has condemned the recent attacks on Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel in the country. There has been close to 100 reported EMS attacks in South Africa this year, with fears that this number will increase during the festive season. Hospersa has called on government to strengthen its efforts in providing a safe working environment for its EMS members.
