Retrencments and privatisation
We actively participated in the Public Service Job Summit held in Limpopo. The Public Service continuously threatens to streamline and reduce the Public Service. Hospersa remains vigilant to ensure that no members are adversely affected by such initiatives.
The private sector's incessant outsourcing and contracting of outside service providers has led to less attractive and less fulfilling jobs. The most prevalent has been the outsourcing of support services such as security, cleaning, catering and laundries. Hospersa represents members and opposes unwarranted actions that will diminish the value of its members in the workplace.
